The motion asks ESC to respectfully request that the Commission include specific items in their adoption of the city's FY2026-2027 budget and approve Tree Trust Fund items as they come before Commission. City Commission met April 6, 2026 to set Oct 2026–Sep 2027 priorities; ESC had no meeting between 3/25/26 and 4/6/26, making this meeting the last chance to lock in its budget case before that priority-setting session. Priority asks include a Marsh Restoration Pilot (SASMI grant applied for, amount TBD), a Parks Master Plan renewal, and $7,500 from general funds for non-tree education and outreach.
