To enhance the opening of the Marsh Oaks Community Center (MOCC), ESC proposes to promote and host an Atlantic Beach-specific Minecraft competition solely for Atlantic Beach schools and students, and an interactive community charrette using Minecraft Education to engage community ideas about the MOCC's future. The backstory: no AB schools or students made it to the final round of the COJ Minecraft Challenge. The ESC also sees the effort as a chance to highlight local sponsors who enabled MOCC to join the Minecraft Universe in perpetuity. Novelty angle: a city environmental committee using a video game platform for community engagement and planning input.
